Hammer Phobia

Bowling Ball Drilling Layout Used...
We used 2 balls for testing the Hammer Phobia: One pin up and one pin down. The pin up layout we used was a the pin above the bridge and CG kicked off the thumb 25 degrees or 2 inches to the side of our thumb hole and the pin down was pin under the ring finger and CG kicked off the thumb hole to 25 degrees for testing this bowling ball...
Bowling Ball Surface Used
We used out of box Factory Finish - 500/2000 Abralon surface finish for testing this ball...
The bowler's style.
The style of bowler was a right-handed 350 rev rate medium speed tweener for testing this ball...
Bowling Lane Conditions
The bowling lane conditions were a typical 42 foot house pattern on Brunswick Pro-Avilane synthetic bowling lane surface.
Test Results
In testing; The Hammer Phobia the basic ball motion we got was a longer slide with a shorter transition to hook in the midlane and a angular type bowling ball motion with good continuation. The pin down rolled sooner, smoother and was more controlled than the pin up. There was about s 2ft longer skid with the pin up and a sharper turn on the back-end.
We felt it would be a good ball on medium to heavy oil patterns or medium to longer patterns with drier backends or as a 2nd or 3rd game ball when the shot breaks down and a good complement to the Hammer Dark Legend... The Hammer Phobia had solid hit at the pocket with good over all bowling pin carry... This ball will need dryer back-ends for peak performance... The balls surface can be adjusted to fit your needs.
In conclusion.
Our over all impression of the Hammer Phobia…
The Hammer Phobia gets down the lane with a longer skid through the heads with a shorter transition in the mid-lane, the phobia has a more anglar motion and a more controlled reaction, this do to the symmetric core. Has a nice motion and good compliment to the dark legend. The pin down ball is about 2ft earlier and smoother than the pin version. The Phobia would be best used on medium heavy oil patterns or as a second game ball after the shot opens up. You will need drier back-ends for peak performance of this bowling ball.
We put this in the angular motion or longer and stronger category of bowling balls...
It would be a good second game bowling ball or after the shot opens up.
